What it Treats

How the Procedure Is Performed

The procedure involves implanting a small pump under the skin, usually in the lower abdomen or gluteal region, and connecting it to a catheter that delivers medication into the intrathecal space around the spinal cord. The pump can be programmed and adjusted externally to provide continuous or on-demand medication delivery, allowing for precise, long-term management of pain or spasticity
